Almond Avocado Smoothie

We spotted a very nice cafe in Chefchaouen square in Morocco and spent most of our last days sitting and sipping mint tea there. One of those days cuople backpackers we met in the hostel joined us and highly recommended this smoothie in the menu, the combination first sounded weird but we tried anyway. OMG! Yummy! Just yummy!!!

After returning back to home I took out the food processor and gave it a try. I used whole almonds and skim milk (0,5% fat), but ground almonds or almond milk would also work, for a vegan option use soy milk instead. We don't use white or brown sugar, if you are on a diet like myself or if you want a healthier option use xylitol, if not white or brown sugar is fine too.








First, place the almonds to the food processor and process for about 1-2 minutes, add the rest and keep mixing until smooth (peel off the avocado and take out the seed of course)! Ps: I used a bit more milk than shown in the photo as it was very intense for me, you may also adjust the ingredients depending on your taste.

Recipe is for 1 big glass, double or triple the ingredients for more servings.
